The Good News
If I were to ask you where you would
spend eternity if you died right now what would be your answer? If
you are not sure or even hesitated, these are indications that you
have never been saved from your sins. Why? Because 1st John 5:13 says,
“These things I have written to you who believe in the name
of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life.”
The scripture teaches that if you are saved you will know it.
That means if you are not sure or you hesitated, more than likely
your soul is still eternally lost. Why do I need to be saved you
might say? Saved from what? I’m doing fine. Not according
to God’s Word. Romans 3:23 says, “For all have sinned
and fall short of the glory of God.” This means that all
of us are guilty of sin before God unless our sins have been forgiven.
But how are our sins forgiven? Only one way according to God’s
Word: through the blood of Jesus Christ. Leviticus 17:11 says
that it is only blood that takes away sin, and it has to be perfect
blood that has never been tainted with sin.
There is only one man who
ever lived perfectly and that was Jesus Christ. And by the spilling
of His blood in our place on the cross God will accept any who takes
that sacrifice for their sin. The Bible says that you stand guilty
before God unless your sins are removed. Have your sins been removed?
It can only be done through Jesus, but He stands ready right now to
forgive you by His sacrifice for the sins of the world. John 3:16
says, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten
Son that whosoever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting
life.”
Will you accept Jesus’
sacrifice for you today? If you would like to have your sins forgiven
and know beyond a shadow of a doubt that you will go to heaven simply
pray this prayer from your heart: Lord, I know that I am
a sinner, and that I stand guilty before God. But I also know and
believe that You died for my sins taking my place on the cross. I
accept Your sacrifice for me. Please forgive me, come into my heart,
and be my Lord and my Savior, in Jesus Name, Amen.
Congratulations! If you just prayed that prayer
from your heart you are forgiven and on your way to heaven eternally!
